Dear Incomings of the Summer Semester 2022

welcome to HU Berlin!

Even though the beginning of the summer semester is still a few weeks ahead of us, we would like to invite you to our orientation session at the Department of Social Sciences.

It will take place on Wednesday, March 30th, at 14.00 in r. 002 in our building in Universitätsstr. 3b.

It will be organized as a hybrid session, so that you can also join remotely. If you are already in Berlin and join us in person, please take care to follow the 3G-rules (you must be vaccinated, recovered or tested negatively within the last 24h) as well as the other established rules: desinfect your hands, keep you distance, wear a FFP2 mask.

There will be a repeat of this orientation session on the first day of teaching, on April 19th.
But since we have received some questions about course choice etc., we would like to provide relevant information to you early on as well as offer the option to ask some questions and get to know us.

Here you can find the course catalgo for the summer semester 2022 on AGNES. You can change the semester in the upper left hand corener.
1st round of course registrations is: 01.02.2022 - 12.04.2022.
2nd rounf of course registration is: 18.04.2022 - 21.04.2022.


Here you can find the academic calendar of the Humoldt University.
The summer semester in general spans from the 01.04.2022 - 30.09.2022, for this time your UniCard is valid as a public transport ticket.
The lectures are from 19th of April - 23rd of July 2022. In the following lecture free period you will finalize exams and term papers. Please be in contact with your professors as well as the Erasmus Coordination if you have to hand in transcripts within deadlines of your home university that are different to our timing.


Here you can finde the Guide for International Students published by the International Office. The Incoming Teams ( takes care of the administrative aspects of your stay with us, e.g. your HU Account or UniCard issues. They also have started an acommodation exchange between our Outgoing and Incoming students recently, but it is still in its beginning stages.


Please keep in mind, that the Humboldt University uses the Online Learning Agreement (OLA). If your University does too please enter Mrs. Matthes as responsible person at the recieving institution and contact her for signatures of your Learning Agreements as well as Confirmations of Arrival.
