Beatriz Besen de Oliveira is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Program of Social Change and Political Participation at the University of São Paulo. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master in Social Psychology from University of São Paulo with focus on political memory, youth and social change in Brazil. She also has a second Master Degree in State, Government and Public Policies at FLACSO/Brazil with focus on political identities from the youth in the peripheries of São Paulo. She worked in public and private institutions, coordinating educational and social development projects.
Until October 2023 she held a DAAD Scholarship for a research stay at Goethe University of Frankfurt and at Humboldt University of Berlin, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hanna Schwander. She is interested in youth political activism, contemporary far-right movements and new modes of subjectivation.
