The Center brings together everything necessary for a scholarly investigation of gender relations: various academic disciplines, diverse agents of knowledge and knowledge production, and a multifaceted perspective on the examination of the gender category that draws upon all theoretical and practical fields.

'GenderCompetenceCenter' of the ZtG

The GenderCompetenceCenter has been an externally-funded, application-oriented research institution at the Humboldt-Universität Berlin (Law School), founded by Prof. Dr. Susanne Baer, LL.M. (Public Law and Gender Studies, Humboldt University Berlin) in cooperation with the Center for Transdisciplinary Gender Studies (ZtG).

Association of Women Studies- and Gender Studies Research Institutes (afg Berlin)

The afg Berlin is a research network of Women- and Gender Studies researchers located at the universities of Berlin. Its task is both to systematically create the participating institutes' profiles and initiate research- and teaching cooperation across the Berliner universities. It combines the strengths of the universitites' individual research focuses and henceforth strengthens Berlin as a location of science.

GendA – Centre for Research and Cooperation

GendA understands and researches processes of social transformation through the categories Work, Democracy, and Gender. It considers paid work as a central aspect of a functioning political system, the development of democratic competencies, and the awareness towards opportunities for participiation. The Centre for Research and Cooperation shall both facilitate and contribute to the feminist dialogue on work and democracy and henceforth enable a continiously expanding coherence of research and discussion. It strives to develop research questions and -projects as well as to participate in the contemporary political discourse.

Rezensionszeitschrift für Frauen- und Geschlechterforschung Querelles-net

querelles-net taps the vast range of specialised, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary publications in the field of women's and gender studies, in particular from the German-speaking realm. Academic reviews inform about important new publications and current issues of research. Both printed and electronically published works will be reviewed.

efas - economics, feminism and science

efas is a network of German speaking women in the economics and related fields. Focusing not only on Germany, its goals are to support the inclusion of gender as a dimension of social inequality into research and teaching in the Economic Sciences. Moreover, it supports young female researchers by offering doctoral supervision as well as enabling professional exchange in an interdisciplinary manner. Once a year, a symposium is held. Additionally, efas confers an award on dissertation theses that focus on Women- and Gender Studies.

The Network of East-West Women

Founded in 1991 NEWW is an international communication and resource network supporting dialogue, informational exchange, and activism among those concerned about the status of women in Central and Eastern Europe, the Newly Independent States, and the Russian Federation. NEWW coordinates research and advocacy that supports women's equality and full participation in all aspects of public and private life.
NEWW is an NGO in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. With members in more than 30 countries NEWW is among the largest and most respected networks in CEE/NIS, and is a trusted source of expertise, resources and information about gender in democratizing societies.
