New Einstein-Fellow Dr. Imren Borsuk Eroğlu



Einstein Fellows Research Group (ERG) has a new member. We are very happy to announce that Dr. Imren Borsuk Eroğlu will be joining the Department of Social Sciences (ISW) of HU Berlin as a new member of the ERG.

Previously, she has been a post-doc researcher at the Stockholm University Institute for Turkish Studies, and Forum Transregionale Studien in Berlin. Her work focuses on communal violence, ethnic conflicts, interethnic relations, political geography, and urban poverty based on extensive research on Turkey. At the ISW, Dr. Borsuk Eroğlu will be working on diaspora mobilization and transnational authoritarianism. Additionally, two of our current fellows, Dr. Melehat Kutun and Dr. Burcu Binbuga received prolongations for their fellowships. We congratulate Dr. Borsuk Eroğlu, Dr. Kutun and Dr. Binbuga and look forward to working together.

Members of the ERG are affiliated to the chair of Comparative Political Science and Political Systems of Eastern Europe and to the Berlin Institute for Integration and Migration Research. ERG is also part of the newly established Center for Comparative Research on Democracy (CCRD) at HU Berlin.
