Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin - Department of Social Sciences


Following nomination by their home university, exchange students must apply to HU by way of an online application procedure. The application period for a stay during the winter semester or for the entire academic year runs from 1 April to 31 May, and for a stay during the summer semester from 1 October to 30 November.

The application is then checked and the applicant receives an answer by email from the International Office within the application period. This nomination, which Humboldt-Universität uses to confirm the selected course of study, must be signed and stamped (official university stamp) by the home university’s ERASMUS coordinator and also signed by the applicant.  The nomination documentation must then be posted to the address given in the nomination email.
