Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin - DYNAMICS

Institutional Network

DYNAMICS is a joint PhD programme by the Department of Social Sciences at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and the Hertie School, constituting an excellent research environment for the PhD programme. The intensive collaboration of these two institutions provides us with an unusual opportunity for building up a critical research mass in our areas of specialization: Demography, democratic processes and public policy.

In addition to the cooperation between the Department of Social Sciences and the Hertie School, which have already been cooperating for years in research and teaching, we have cross-cutting affiliations with additional institutions that are depicted below. These provide our doctoral researchers with valuable additional research opportunities. Being located in Berlin furthermore allows for important linkages to the policy-making community.
