Curriculum Vitae

Education

Felix Petersen holds a BA in Political Science and Slavic Philology (from Ruhr-Universität Bochum) and a MA in Political Theory (from J.W. Goethe Universität Frankfurt am Main). During his studies he was visiting student at Charles University in Prague and at The New School for Social Research in New York. Since autumn 2011 he works on his dissertation (Advisor: Prof. Dr. Silvia von Steinsdorff, HU Berlin; Prof. Dr. Andrew Arato, NSSR New York).

Employments

Since autumn 2011 he works as a researcher in a conjoint research project between Humboldt University and METÜ University on „The influence of Constitutional Courts on the Process of Transformation. A Comparative Perspective on Turkey and Germany”. Before this, he worked as an author for a small publishing house in Offenbach/Main, and in different positions as student assistant at J.W. Goethe Universität (Prof. Dr. Rainer Forst) and TU Dortmund (Prof. Dr. Johannes Weyer).

• Political Theory (especially Theory of Democracy and Constitutional Theory)
• Comparative Political Science
• Politics of protest, democracy and change
• Transformation Research.
