Students can be supported in preparing for an internship, but the full-time internship (minimum 35 hours/week, for at least two months) must be organised by the student themselves. In order to have completed all formalities by the beginning of the internship, students are asked to hand their application in BEFORE the internship begins. As long as the module requirements of the Study and Exam Regulations are fulfilled (BA Social Sciences Module 15: Internship) it is possible to receive academic recognition for internships completed abroad.

You can find further information on the application process, requirements and offers, along with an example schedule for orientation (page “downloads”) on the pages of the International Office.

If the student would like that the internship be recognised as part of the BA, they are asked to get in contact in the first instance with the internships coordinator of the ISW, Dr. Martin Nagelschmidt. Students will find more information on the pages of the internship coordinator.
