Research Units
The Humboldt Center provides a forum for different types of research units which bring together social scientists from within the Institute and from other institutes at Humboldt University with the aim of combining the social-science competences available at Humboldt in a collective research effort. A first type concerns specialized centers on topics which address issues of interdisciplinary and political relevance. A second type are research groups focusing theoretical issues and laboratories focusing methodological issues which are temporary and more fluid in composition. A third type of research unit refers to existing centers at Humboldt University and Berlin-wide which are affiliated with the HCSP.
